Product description

Cold Shrink Tube for Telecom Connectors

Description:
Open-ended tubulars, which are enlarged at the factory and mounted on a removable core. They are supplied for field installation in this pre-stretched condition. The core is removed after the tube has been positioned for installation over an in-line connection, allowing the tube to shrink and form a waterproof seal. The insulating tube is made of rubber, which does not contain chlorides or sulfides. They cover a range of 1000 volt cables, copper and aluminum conductors.

Unique Advantages:

Excellent weather resistance, ultraviolet aging resistance, and higher brittle resistance than heat shrink tubing
More resistant to puncture, abrasion, acid than cold shrink silicone tubing
Simultaneously expands and shrinks with zero-gap workpieces, seals firmly in harsh environments
Sealing work pieces stably in a windy environment
Suitable for cables less than 1kV
It seals hermetically, retaining its strength and pressure even after long years of aging and exposure.
Simple and safe installation, no tools or special training required. No torches or heat work required.
Shrinkage diameter:≥50%
Sealing class IP68

Applications:

Primary electrical insulation for all solid dielectric (rubber and plastic) insulated cable and cable splices rated at 1000volts
Meets ANSI C119.1, Directly Deburrable or Submersible or for Indoor, Outdoor, or Surface Use
Physical protection and moisture sealing for high-voltage and air-insulated connectors and lugs, such as breakout cable and lug-to-bus bar connections
Insulation of secondary copper or aluminum conductor splices Service relocation DIG-in repairs, sheath repairs
Insulation of Inline Conductor Transition Connectors
Sealing of coaxial cables with type N or 7/16 DIN connectors in wireless communication towers
