The Heil HM-12 microphone has been developed especially for amateur radio operators. The high output, full frequency range "Genesis" dynamic element is designed to operate with almost all low impedance amateur radio transmitters. This element is mounted in a unique internal shock mount and features almost -35 dB of backward rejection, reducing background and ambient noise from the transmitted signal.
The HM-12 has a very natural frequency response and is designed so that the traditional Heil +4 dB peak is centered at 2 kHz. This attention to detail results in excellent voice articulation balanced with a clean, clear bass response, producing a high quality AM, FM or SSB signal.
The PTT switch connects to pins 3 and 4 to control the transmitter, while the microphone signal is routed to pins 1 and 2 of the 4-pin XLR connector. A CC-1-x-x cable is required for operation, see "Accessories".
The microphone has an internal foam windscreen and is supplied with a 5/8"-27 microphone clamp suitable for table stands, microphone boom, shock mount, etc.
The surface has a satin black finish.
