The UltraBeam EHU MOD KIT is an adaptation kit for older-generation UltraBeam antennas that need to use a new EHU – Element Housing Unit.

On antenna models manufactured before 2024, the connection between the EHU and the internal guide tubes uses a different arrangement from the new EHU design. This kit provides the necessary transition between the new EHU and the older internal guide tubes.

Compatibility depends on the antenna model and the element where the EHU is installed.

How the modification works

UltraBeam antennas with folded elements use internal guide tubes connected to the motor unit. The newer EHU configuration requires an adapter arrangement to connect correctly to these existing tubes.

During installation, the internal guide tube is connected to the modification assembly and inserted into the GRP tube, with the cone providing the transition into the new EHU. The assembly is then secured to the EHU according to the installation instructions.

The instructions also cover antennas where the extended end of the internal guide tube was previously cut off. In this situation, a supplied connecting piece is installed between the internal tubes before fitting the assembly to the EHU.

Important note

This product is not a complete EHU. It is an EHU guide tube modification kit designed to allow selected new EHUs to be used with older UltraBeam antenna configurations.

Before ordering, always confirm the exact UltraBeam antenna model, year/version, element where the EHU will be installed and compatibility of the replacement EHU.

Compatibility does not automatically apply to every element of each antenna. The manufacturer-listed element position must be respected.

The EHU, antenna elements, antenna GRP tubes and other components are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
