Sharman AR-600XL Multicom VHF/UHF Antenna Rotor with Controller and Remote Control

The Sharman AR-600XL Multicom is a compact antenna rotor designed for use with small VHF/UHF antennas, TV antennas and light-duty installations where convenient and accurate antenna direction control is required.

This rotor is suitable for radio amateurs using small directional antennas on the 2 metre and 70 centimetre bands, allowing the antenna direction to be changed quickly using either the control unit or the supplied remote control.

The control unit features a digital direction indicator and can store up to 12 antenna positions, making it easy to return quickly to frequently used directions. This is especially useful for repeated contacts in specific areas, repeaters, light-duty satellite use, VHF/UHF reception or operation with small beam antennas.

The set includes the rotor, controller, remote control, mounting clamps, power cable and user manual. The rotor has a robust construction, with a weather-resistant one-piece cast aluminium housing, precision metal gears and steel thrust bearings for improved durability.

The AR-600XL operates from 220–230VAC and requires a 3-wire control cable, not included. It is a practical solution for light VHF/UHF installations, provided the antenna used is within the recommended mechanical limits.

The Sharman AR-600XL is intended for small antennas and light-duty installations. It is not suitable for larger 6m antennas, large VHF beams or HF Yagi antennas. For larger antennas or installations exposed to higher wind load, a higher-capacity rotor should be selected.

The 3-wire control cable is not included and should be selected with a suitable conductor size for the installation. The power supply is 220–230VAC, so installation should be carried out carefully, following electrical safety rules and ensuring proper protection against moisture and weather exposure.
