On July 18, 1944, Ancona was captured by the Polish Second Army Corps. During the Anglo-American occupation, two young men, 17-year-old Messi Michele and 21-year-old Dino Paoloni, were employed as civilian staff at the Allied military transmission station in the port of Ancona. It was here, during this work, that they first met, sharing a passion for telecommunications. Two years later, the two friends decided to found the company Messi & Paoloni. During the first ten years of their activity, these young men selected their purchases at the post-war Photokina exhibition in Cologne and hustled throughout central Italy, selling, installing, and repairing film projectors in all the new cinemas being rebuilt after the destruction of the war. In June 1956, they became Fracarro agents for the Marches and Umbria regions, settling back into their first love: radio frequency. During this long-term collaboration with Fracarro (the leading Italian TV antenna manufacturer), they decided to establish a coaxial cable factory (primarily 75 ohm) in 1974. Several years later, the couple's two sons, Paolo Paoloni and Stefano Messi, developed a passion for radio frequency. This led to the start of 50 ohm cable production. In 1985, we began our business relationship with our first German customer: a long-lasting and successful 50 ohm experience together. With the acquisition of 100% of the shares in 1995, Stefano and Maurizio Messi took over from the founders, passionately implementing complex projects and continuing the legacy of innovation. In 1984, we developed our first satellite cable, the SC/100AG model, and in 1990, we created the DIGISAT 5 ELITE model. 31 years ago, with CLASS A++ shielding efficiency, it already combined all the best features for a digital cable. After 31 years of evolution, DIGISAT 5 ELITE is by far the best 75-ohm cable in the world (6.8 mm sheath), with the best attenuation values in its category (25 dB/100 m at 2150 MHz). Continuous improvements in the different production cycles and continuous investments in research and technological innovation gave rise to the “EXPANDED GAS TL” technology. The new models designed for the HAM RADIO world, (M&P-BROAD-PRO 50C, M&P-ULTRAFLEX 10, M&P-ULTRAFLEX 13/.500”, M&P-ULTRAFLEX 7, M&P-AIRBORNE 5, M&P-AIRBORNE 10), are all made with shielding efficiency >105 dB! This leads to excellent immunity against electromagnetic interference and low frequency impulse noise (responsible for the increase of background noise levels). Furthermore, having very well shielded cables, like these, gives the amateur radio world the opportunity to drastically reduce the noise level emissions of the cable itself, minimizing problems in urban flats and areas. Differently, cables like RG 213/U or RG 8, have 55 dB of shielding efficiency, RG 58 C/U has 50 dB of efficiency. shielding and the extra shielded RG 214 A/U despite its impressive dual shielding, cannot boast more than 80dB!
