The Icom ID-5200E is a dual-band VHF/UHF digital mobile transceiver designed for amateur radio operators looking for a modern, intuitive radio for both analogue and digital operation.

This European version transmits on 144–146MHz and 430–440MHz, with selectable output power of 50W, 15W or 5W at 13.8V DC. It supports FM, FM-N and D-STAR DV, making it suitable for compatible analogue repeaters, D-STAR digital repeaters and direct contacts.

The large 4.3-inch colour touchscreen provides quick access to key functions and improves visibility during mobile or fixed-station operation. The waterfall and band scope functions help display signal activity and band conditions at a glance.

The ID-5200E supports true simultaneous dual reception, including FM/FM, FM/DV and DV/DV, allowing two signals to be monitored at the same time. It also supports V/V, U/U and V/U dual receive combinations, including airband reception within the listed RX coverage.

Enhanced D-STAR functions include Terminal Mode, Access Point Mode, DV repeater monitoring and image transmission/reception.
