The EAntenna DBZ6 Double Bazooka, is a single-band dipole antenna designed specifically for amateur-radio communication on the 6-metre band, around 50 MHz.

Unlike a conventional wire dipole, the Double Bazooka uses a central section of coaxial cable as part of the radiating element and impedance-transforming section. This construction helps compensate for changes in reactance across the band, producing a flatter SWR curve and greater bandwidth than a conventional dipole.

The radiating element provides DC continuity to ground, helping reduce static build-up and, in certain installations, providing a lower received-noise level.

Measuring approximately 3 metres in length, the antenna can be installed horizontally or in an inverted-V configuration. Its centre enclosure is fitted with an SO-239 connector for direct connection to a 50 Ω coaxial feed line fitted with a PL-259 plug. No external balun is required.

Important note

This antenna is designed exclusively for the 6-metre band and is not a multiband antenna.

The resonant frequency and SWR may vary depending on installation height, inverted-V angle, proximity to the ground, buildings, trees and metal structures. After installation, check the antenna with an SWR meter or antenna analyser.

A lower power level should be used for digital modes or continuous-carrier operation. The coaxial feed line, PL-259 connector, mast, support ropes and other installation accessories are not included.
