Yaesu ATAS-120A Mobile Antenna

Description

The ATAS-120A is a unique mobile antenna designed for Yaesu transceivers equipped with the ATAS system. The ATAS-120A utilizes a motorized tuner system that drives the radiating element into resonance for minimum ROS, eliminating the need for expensive and complex rod antennas and resonant monoband arrays. The ATAS-120A is designed for direct mounting to a standard mobile antenna mount (not supplied) compatible with its "M" type base connector (PL259).

Product Description

The Yaesu-patented ATAS™ (Active Tune Antenna System) provides automatic motorized tuning of HF/VHF/UHF coverage. Using control signals from the transceiver's microprocessor received via coaxial cable, the internal ATAS monitor adjusts the radiating element length to achieve optimal ROS. The ATAS covers the 7/14/21/28/50/144/430 MHz bands and is compatible with the FT-991A, FT-891, FT-857D, FT-450D, FT-710, and FTDX10.
