Yaesu FTM-150EASP dual band 2m/70cm FM mobile transceiver with up to 55W on VHF and 50W on UHF, two independent receivers, detachable front panel, Super-DX with ASP, Band Scope, 1103 memories and powerful 6W audio.
The Yaesu FTM-150EASP is a dual band FM mobile transceiver for the 2 metre and 70 centimetre amateur radio bands, designed for mobile installation, base station use, local communications, repeaters and reliable VHF/UHF operation.
With transmit power up to 55W on VHF and 50W on UHF, selectable in several levels, the FTM-150EASP provides excellent performance for analogue FM communication. Its robust construction, heavy-duty heatsink and FACC — Funnel Air Convection Conductor system help maintain stable transmit power during extended operation.
This model features true dual band operation, allowing different combinations such as V+V, U+U, V+U and U+V. Its two independent receivers make it possible to monitor two frequencies at the same time, which is highly useful for repeaters, local channels, APRS/packet applications, support monitoring or mobile operation.
The Super-DX function, combined with ASP — Audio Digital Signal Processor, improves weak signal reception and helps provide clearer audio in difficult conditions. The radio also includes a high-resolution Band Scope, allowing visual monitoring of up to 47 channels, as well as advanced memory functions such as PMG — Primary Memory Group and MAG — Memory Auto Grouping.
The detachable front panel makes installation easier in vehicles or compact radio setups. The radio includes both a main body speaker and a front panel speaker, providing a total audio output of 6W for loud and clear reception. The main body speaker level can be adjusted according to user preference.
Transmission with this equipment requires a valid amateur radio licence and must comply with the frequencies and power limits allowed by local regulations. For base station operation, a suitable power supply, properly tuned antenna and good quality coaxial cable are recommended.
