The Goobay 79566 is an outdoor modular RJ45 coupler designed to join or extend network cables already terminated with RJ45 plugs.

With IP68 protection, the connector provides increased resistance against dust and water, making it suitable for outdoor applications, industrial installations, surveillance systems, garden networks, building façades, garages, warehouses, workshops and other locations where the network connection may be exposed to moisture or dirt.

The product has 2 RJ45 female 8P8C ports, allowing two patch cables with RJ45 plugs to be connected. The connection is 1:1, working as an inline coupler to extend an Ethernet link without replacing the entire cable section.

The CAT 6 STP construction supports a maximum bandwidth of 250MHz, suitable for compatible structured networks. The coupler also supports PoE+ IEEE 802.3at applications, allowing use with compatible equipment such as IP cameras, access points, network devices and PoE-powered systems.

Its slim design and waterproof cable gland make installation easier even in confined spaces such as cable ducts, boxes, cable passages or outdoor areas where a protected RJ45 connection is required.
