The WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians from the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. It originated from the research by a rust and degreaser to protect parts of missiles. The name comes from the project, which aimed to develop a compound to repel water (Water displacement). They were successful with the fortieth formula, so WD-40.
5 FUNCTIONS, THOUSANDS OF USES. The WD-40 protects the metal against corrosion, penetrates and unlocks the pieces that have become bitches, displaces moisture and lubricates just about anything. The WD-40 also helps clean grease, dirt, marks and scratches on almost all surfaces.
MOVING WATER / DIELECTRIC: As the WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems and removes any moisture that may have been introduced into electrical circuits. (Remember to turn off the electrical element before vaporizing with the product).
PENETRATION AND UNLOCK: The WD-40 loosens and releases rusty, blocked or dirty metal parts.
LUBRICATION: The lubricating ingredients of the WD-40 are distributed throughout the parts where the product is applied. This lasting action extends through all the moving elements.
PROTECTS: The WD-40 protects metal surfaces with their corrosion-resistant ingredients. It forms a highly protective barrier.
CLEANING: The WD-40 passes through dust, dirt, grease and grease clumps to clean the treated surface, leaving it glowing. Also remove stickers, labels, etc.
