Delivery policy
The NTC 10D9 is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor, meaning its resistance decreases as temperature increases. With a nominal resistance of 10Ω at 25°C and a maximum current of 2A, this component is especially used in circuits where the initial current must be limited when the equipment is switched on.
This type of NTC thermistor is widely used as an inrush current limiter, helping reduce current peaks in power supplies, chargers, electronic equipment, power modules, circuits with input capacitors and other systems exposed to high startup current.
When the circuit is powered on, the thermistor initially presents a higher resistance, helping limit the current surge. During operation, it naturally heats up due to current flow and its resistance drops, allowing normal current flow with lower loss.
With THT/radial mounting, the NTC 10D9 is easy to install on printed circuit boards, prototyping boards, power supplies, repair jobs and electronic projects. It can also be used in temperature control or compensation applications when the circuit is compatible with a 10Ω NTC thermistor.

Important note
Before use, always confirm the nominal resistance, maximum current, operating temperature, diameter, lead spacing, tolerance, beta value and compatibility with the original circuit. The NTC 10D9 must be selected according to the real circuit current, applied voltage, startup surge energy, ambient temperature and available board space.
This component should not be replaced based only on its physical shape. In power supplies and mains-powered circuits, choosing the wrong thermistor may cause excessive heating, insufficient protection or equipment failure. For temperature sensor applications, confirm that the circuit is designed for a 10Ω NTC, as many 3D printer sensors and controllers use much higher values, such as 10kΩ or 100kΩ.
