The Yaesu SCU-LAN10 is a LAN unit for remote operation, designed to control compatible Yaesu transceivers over a LAN connection or via the Internet.

This accessory is intended for the Yaesu FTDX101 series and Yaesu FTDX10, allowing the radio to be operated from a computer using the appropriate remote-control software. Through the remote-control system, the user can access several transceiver functions, including frequency change, mode selection, receive audio, PTT/MOX transmission, receiver parameter control and display areas such as the spectrum scope, depending on the radio model and available functions.

The SCU-LAN10 is especially useful for amateur radio stations where the operator wants to control the transceiver from another room, a local network or a remote location, provided that the network installation is correctly configured.

For Internet use, router, firewall, network port, system security and control software settings may be required. Remote operation requires basic knowledge of computers, networking and transceiver configuration.

For the FTDX101 series, the manufacturer lists the following minimum firmware requirements for proper operation: MAIN V01-14, DISPLAY V01-06, IF DSP V01-05 and SDR V02-03, or later versions.
