It is designed for direct installation on a printed circuit board using right-angle through-hole terminals. This configuration positions the connector parallel to the PCB, making it suitable for installation at the edge of equipment and control panels.
The brass contacts feature gold flash plating in the mating area and pure tin plating on the solder tails. The metal shell incorporates grounding dimples, ground tabs and mechanical board locks for improved PCB stability.
Front 4-40 screwlocks secure the mating connector and help prevent accidental disconnection.
