Delivery policy

The Icom ID-5100E is a digital and analogue mobile transceiver for the 2-metre and 70-centimetre amateur bands, combining conventional FM communication with the advanced features of the D-STAR digital system.

Its large 5.5-inch monochrome touchscreen provides intuitive access to frequencies, settings, memory channels and D-STAR functions. The detachable controller allows the main unit and control panel to be installed separately, making it particularly suitable for vehicles with limited dashboard space.

The Dual Watch function supports simultaneous reception of FM/FM, FM/DV or DV/DV signals. This allows two frequencies, repeaters or activities to be monitored at the same time. If two digital signals are received simultaneously, the main-band audio takes priority.

An integrated GPS receiver in the controller displays the operator’s position, direction, speed and altitude. GPS data can be used to locate nearby repeaters, exchange position reports using D-PRS and record travelled routes.

The DR function and repeater list simplify D-STAR operation, including searching for nearby repeaters based on the current GPS position and accessing Dplus reflectors.

An SD card slot allows voice recordings, transmitted messages, received-call history, QSO logs, GPS logs, memory channels, repeater lists and personal settings to be stored.
