Unique tool allows for controlled flux application eliminating mess from flux bottles. Chisel point, spring loaded tip dispenses just the right amount of flow. Flux-Pen stops waste while limiting operator exposure to welding chemicals. Kester 951 Flux-Pen® is an organic, halogen- and rosin-free Flux-Pen specifically designed for reprocessing conventional and surface mount circuit board assemblies. The extremely low solids content (2.0%) and the nature of the activator system leaves virtually no residue on the assembly after welding. There is no residue to interfere with electrical testing. 951 exhibits improved welding performance to minimize (short) weld bridges during rework operations. This flow is suitable for automotive, computing, telecommunications and other applications where reliability considerations are critical. The surface insulation resistance in brazed plates is higher than that provided by typical organic water soluble fluxes. It contains a corrosion inhibitor such that no corrosion products are formed when bare copper surfaces are exposed to humid environments.
