Icom IC-718 100W HF All Band Transceiver

The Icom IC-718 is an HF all band transceiver designed for amateur radio shortwave communications, combining straightforward operation, robust construction and reliable performance.

With up to 100W output power on SSB, CW and RTTY and up to 35W on AM, the IC-718 is suitable for HF band contacts, long-distance communication, base station operation, portable use or as a second backup radio.

The receiver provides general coverage from 0.030 to 29.999MHz, with a guaranteed range of 0.500 to 29.999MHz, allowing reception across a wide range of frequencies. Transmit coverage includes amateur HF bands according to version and applicable regulations.

The radio includes useful reception features such as noise reduction, automatic notch filter, IF Shift for interference rejection, preamplifier, RF attenuator, RF gain control and digital S/RF meter. The FPGA digital filtering system allows selectable IF filter widths, adapting the radio to different modes and operating conditions.

Operation is simple and direct, with a front keypad for frequency entry, accessible controls and a front-mounted speaker for clear audio during operation. The Icom IC-718 also includes VOX, microphone compressor, CW features and 101 memory channels.
