The Kydéra CDR-500UV is a dual-band VHF/UHF mobile transceiver designed for both DMR digital and analogue communications. Its 144 and 430 MHz operation, dual standby capability and capacity for up to 4000 channels make it suitable for mobile installations and fixed amateur-radio stations.

Transmission power can be selected between 30 W high power and 10 W low power on both VHF and UHF. Digital operation uses two-slot TDMA technology and supports dual-timeslot DMO direct communication.

A large colour touchscreen provides convenient access to channels, contacts and operating information. The radio also includes GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, APRS compatibility, commercial FM reception and an emergency alarm function.

Its all-metal chassis provides a robust and durable construction. The radio carries an IP67 rating and is stated to comply with MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G environmental standards.
