Choice of installation location
Antennas can be installed on all vehicle windows and sunroofs, but not on the double-glazed windows of houses, as capacitive coupling is very low. Left rear window mounting can make sense in combination vehicles. Observe the wiper cleaning area!
• Frontal installation: in the center behind the rear or side mirror. Observe the wiper! • Rear Installation: Avoid placing the antenna on the rear window wires
heater as this may cause mechanical stress on the glass. Select the installation location so that the socket is at least 15 mm away from the edge of the panel and the socket points left or right so that the radial of the wire is horizontal and parallel to the glass edge after installation.
Installation
The temperature during installation should be 20 to a maximum of 35 ° Celsius, so the adhesive film adheres correctly. Do not install below 20 °. But DO NOT additionally heat the window with a hair dryer! Clean the inside and outside of the window, wipe with the cleaning cloth, allow it to air dry and do not touch. Only now remove the adhesive film from the adapter box. Caution, the adhesive layer adheres immediately, detachment is not possible without damage! Check again that it is oriented correctly and firmly press the panel for a few seconds so that the adhesive can attach to the panel.
Loosen the Allen screw on the antenna base and adjust the radiant tilt so that it is upright at the desired installation location. Tighten the Allen screw firmly. Remove the protective film from the antenna base, place the base on the glass just above the adapter socket so that the radiator is upright and press firmly for at least 20 seconds. The radial should be parallel to the edge of the glass and be at minus 15 mm apart! Put the cable in the vehicle, and connect ..
Decommissioning
Cut the tape with a flat blade (razor or scalpel) - be careful, fingers! Do not pull on the adapter socket forcibly.
