Sirio Blizzard 2700 5/8 CB 27MHz / 10m / 11m Base Antenna

The Sirio Blizzard 2700 is a high-performance vertical base antenna for the 26 to 28MHz range, widely used in CB 27MHz / 11 metre installations and applications close to the 10 metre band, when correctly tuned and permitted by local regulations.

With a 5/8 λ ground plane design, omnidirectional radiation and vertical polarization, this antenna is designed to provide good performance for local and medium/long-distance communication, with a favourable radiation angle for DX operation when propagation conditions allow.

The antenna has a listed gain of 1.5dBd / 3.65dBi, maximum power of 1000W CW continuous and up to 3000W CW short time, making it suitable for base stations requiring a robust and efficient antenna for 27MHz and compatible frequencies.

Construction uses aluminium, copper, galvanized steel and nylon, with approximate 6.70m height and 6kg weight. The feed connector is UHF female / SO-239, compatible with PL-259 coaxial plugs.

Before transmitting, SWR must be adjusted and checked using a suitable SWR meter or antenna analyser. The final best-matching frequency depends on tuning, mounting height, surrounding environment, mast, coaxial cable and nearby metal structures.

Transmission on CB, 10m or other frequencies must always comply with the regulations of the country of use, including authorised frequencies, maximum power, permitted modes and licence requirements.

Coaxial cable, mast, mounting support, additional clamps, PL-259 connector, surge protection and other installation accessories are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
