The Antennas Amplifiers PA144-432-21-3B is a dual band directional Yagi antenna designed for operation on the 2 metre and 70 centimetre amateur radio bands, covering 144–146 MHz and 430–440 MHz.
This model combines two directional antennas on the same boom: one Yagi for 2m and another for 70cm, allowing both bands to be used with a compact and robust installation. The antenna uses 1 common connector, simplifying cabling and connection to the radio system, especially when used with VHF/UHF transceivers with a common antenna output or with a suitable duplexer.
With 7 elements on 2m and 14 elements on 70cm, this antenna provides good directional gain, strong front-to-back performance and suitable beamwidth for longer-distance communication. It is suitable for fixed stations, VHF/UHF DX, contests, satellite operation, repeater work, technical experiments and amateur radio use.
The antenna features an approximately 300 cm boom, 30 x 30 mm boom section, centre mounting and horizontal polarization. The included voltage balun helps provide correct antenna feeding and improved matching to the coaxial system.
For best performance, the antenna should be installed on a suitable mast, using low-loss coaxial cable and good quality connectors. Always confirm that the transceiver or antenna system is compatible with 1 common connector for 2m/70cm. For radios with separate VHF and UHF antenna outputs, a suitable duplexer may be required.
