Delivery policy

The Arrow Antennas 10W Duplexer with Male BNC allows the VHF and UHF sections of a compatible Arrow II antenna to be connected to a single dual-band transceiver.

Arrow II satellite antennas normally have one independent connection for 146 MHz VHF and another for 437 MHz UHF. This device combines both antenna connections into a single BNC connection for the radio, removing the need for two separate transceivers.

Although commercially identified by the manufacturer as a duplexer, the device is technically a diplexer, as it separates and combines signals operating in two different frequency bands.

Its compact surface-mount construction is designed to fit inside the boom of compatible Arrow antennas. The coaxial cable used to connect the device to the radio measures approximately 36 inches – 91 cm and terminates in a male BNC connector.

When purchased together with a compatible Arrow antenna, the unit can be supplied pre-installed inside the boom, with its coaxial cables routed beneath the foam handle.

  • Arrow II 146/437-10BP
  • Arrow II 146/437-14
  • Arrow II 146/437-14BP
  • Arrow 52-1BP, when fitted with the optional 2 m and 70 cm elements

Recommended applications

  • Operating an Arrow II antenna with one radio
  • Amateur radio satellite communications
  • Operation between the 2 m and 70 cm bands
  • Installation inside the antenna boom
  • Portable LEO satellite stations
  • Replacement or upgrade of the original diplexer
  • Converting an Arrow antenna without a diplexer for single-radio operation

Important note

The maximum permitted power is 10 W. Higher power may permanently damage the device and must not be used.

The diplexer combines both antenna sections into one radio connection, but it does not convert a conventional radio into a full-duplex transceiver. To transmit on one band while simultaneously receiving on the other, the radio must support cross-band full-duplex operation.

The radio connector is male BNC. Check the transceiver connector before purchasing. Radios fitted with SMA connectors require a suitable adapter or the separately available 10W-SMA version.

With the 52-1BP antenna, the diplexer can only be used when the optional elements for the 2-metre and 70-centimetre bands are also installed.
